Second Opinions in Oncology
Second Opinions in Oncology
Given the complexity that exists in the treatment of each type of cancer, it is generally necessary to include the participation of a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists, who based on the analysis and the discussion of each case, decide on the criteria both of the type of cancer to be faced as well as the oncology treatment that is most appropriate for attacking it.
Likewise, given the risks implied in handling oncological illnesses and the radical nature of the treatments that are generally required, both the patients as well as their family members often request the opinion of other specialists in order to decide based on the greatest possible number of elements.
The Centro de Cáncer ABC offers this service with a qualified group of specialists who issue qualified opinions to give greater certainty to the patient and support the work of his or her doctor.
The Centro de Cáncer ABC not only has an interdisciplinary group of specialists and area leaders who help to enrich the diagnosis and treatment decision; it also has a Second Opinion Program with the Houston Methodist Hospital.
