In an expression of its commitment to remain at the forefront and abide by the highest values of medical practice, last month the ABC Medical Center inaugurated its Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit. Humanism, science, innovation and technology came together with a single purpose: to safeguard patient quality of life, health and wellbeing, and became the engine driving this new challenge to be on par with the highest standards of global medicine.
Given that hematopoietic cell transplantation (located in bone marrow, in peripheral blood and in the umbilical cord) is a life option for oncologic patients with congenital immunodeficiency or hematological ailments among others, through this step ABC confirms its decision to offer to the public the best multidisciplinary group, the appropriate physical areas that have been adapted and sterilized to the extreme for these types of procedures, direct collaboration with national and internationally recognized institutions and state-of-the-art equipment. In this way, the ABC Medical Center confirms once again its commitment to quality health care.
The ABC Medical Center is part of a group of hospitals that actively cooperate with the National Transplants Center in the permanent campaign for organ and tissue donation for therapeutic purposes (transplants).
